  • VPT in Nagaland

    Out of 0.593 million inhabited villages in the country VPTs have already been provided in 0.579 million village as on 30.11.2011.
  • DSPT(satellite) VPT Orissa

    4402 (3782 Under New VPT-I and 620 Under New VPT-II) satellite phone VPTs have been provided as on 30-11-2011 in villages where terrestrial connectivity is not possible.
  • USOF Site in Jharkhand

    USOF is covering uncovered rural areas through shared mobile infrastructure sites. 99.21% of targeted 7353 shared sites have been completed as on 30.11.2011.
  • RCP in Tripura

    RCPs which are 2nd public telephone have been provided in 40,694 villages with more than 2000 population but having no PCO.
  • RDEL in Rajasthan

    Under the RDEL Scheme about 7.93 million individual connection have been provided.
  • BB connection in W.B.

    Under the Wire line Broad band scheme USOF is creating a capacity for 1.8 million rural broadband connections including about 28,000 kiosk for public access. USOF tariff plans are highly affordable.
  • Optical Fiber Connectivity

    USOF’s new OFC scheme in Assam and North East will create a high capacity rural OFC network at sub district HQ level. This shall be shared with all operators at prescribed discounted rate vis-a-vis the TRAI Celing.
  • Use of RE at a Mobile Site

    USOF is supporting pilot projects for utilization of renewable energy in 28 shared mobile sites & for 5000 mobile charging facilities (SMCF).
  • Rural Public Service Terminal

    USOF through a pilot project for Rural Public service Terminals (RPSTs) is supporting SHGs to provide banking services & useful VAS to rural population.
  • Sanchar Shakti

    Sanchar Shakti, a Scheme for pilot projects for mobile VAS and ICT related livelihood skills for women's SHGs in rural India was launched on 7th March 2011 on the eve of International Women's Day.

  UPDATES
The USOF website has been inaugurated by Shri P. J. Thomas, Secretary, Telecom, DoT on 11th May, 2010. Through this website, we wish to put relevant information about USOF in the public domain for the benefit of all the stakeholders. In particular, we wish to streamline the subsidy settlement process and keep service providers fully informed about settlement status.
